Scrap it with a Song Challenge

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!

The new challenge at Scrap it with a Song is to be inspired by your favorite Christmas song. I have so many favorites but when I was looking at these Christmas pictures the song "A Few of my Favorite Things" just popped in my head. One of the things I love most about Christmas is my ornaments and decorations!

The Elvis ornament has hung on our tree since I was a little girl! The Elf was given to me by my Grandma, Mom says I always played with it when I was at her house, so she let me take it home. For some reason son & fiancé think it's creepy and even made a video about him. lol The other ornaments are all newer. The penguins was bought for me by a co-worker in 2008, for my & Mikes first Christmas. The Linus is a Hallmark that recites the BEST part of a Charlie Brown Christmas. The Road Runner is another Hallmark Keepsake, that reminded me of Dad. The best part of Saturday morning was watching Bugs Bunny with my Dad. That is the best part of decorating, you aren't just hanging decorations you are hanging up memories!

Well, enough about my decorations.  lol I used My Digital Studio to create my page. You have until the end of the month to enter your creation at Scrap it with a Song. We love to see your creations.

White Christmas - Scrap it with a Song

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

Scrap it with a Song's challenge this week is White Christmas!

You can use the title or any lyrics from the song for your inspiration for your page. I used the lyrics "Children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow"

I made my page with My Digital Studio from Stampin Up. I got the cute font FREE from 1001 Free Fonts. The pictures are of my wonderful nephews Anthony & Braydon. The first one was taken in 2004 and the other one is just from last year. I came across some older photos and can't believe how much they have grown up! I miss them being little.

I don't think I have ever done a scrapbook page of just me. lol Like many of us, I love taking pictures but hate having mine taken. I am working on pages of our weekend at North Bend State Park and have a page for each of us. I used part of the lyrics, I want to be the one who walks in the sun...

I used My Digital Studio once again. Still loving it!! I used the sketch from Sketches In Thyme #59.

Scrap it With a Song

This week Scrap it with a Song is using an awesome rock poster for inspiration! And what better rock band than the one and only Grateful Dead!!!

There is so much inspiration you can take from this poster....

Here is what I created...

This is my handsome nephew, Tyler. I usually never get a good picture of him. He is usually making some terrible gesture or face at me. 

I used the orange, green & purple from the poster.  I tried to find similar letters to use.

SIWAS - EVERYTHING I DO

Happy Thursday!! I am so excited I finally have everything unpacked and the new house in order. There is still some painting and things to do, but that will happen over time. But now I have time to craft & scrapbook again!! I am so happy.

This week Scrap It With a Song is using a fantastic Bryan Adams Song.

I love the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves! This song always reminds me of that movie.  Kevin Costner is sooo cute!

But here is My Prince Charming...

This is me & my fiance at my nieces wedding last month. We had a great time. The bride was beautiful.  I used part of the lyrics  " Search your heart, search your soul. And when you find me there you'll search no more..."   Such perfect words when you find your soulmate.

Enough mushiness lol All my products used are Stampin Up, except the little butterfly was cute out on my Cricut! Still love that thing.

Scrap It With a Song - Do You Remember the Time

This week's challenge at

 is Do You Remember The Time by Michael Jackson.

For my page I made another 6x6 for my scrapbook. The paper & stamp is from Stampin Up.

This is our first picture together taken on Mike's Mac.

It's fun to look back  at pictures even though we've only been together 2 1/2 yrs. He looks so different in all his pictures.

Happy Monday! This week at Scrap It With a Song our challenge is to use the song Everything Little Thing She Does is Magic - by the Police. You can find the lyrics here.

My page is a 6x6 and I used part of the lyrics "ask her if she'll marry me". This is me and my fiance Mike. Our wedding date is next July!! I started a 6x6 scrapbook when we first got together and add pages ever so often. I hadn't get added that we were getting married!

Some Terrific News

I am so excited to say that I have been chosen for the Scrap It With a Song DT!

Their challenges are so much fun!

This week the song is "There's Your Trouble" - Dixie Chicks

And I had a blast making this page.

 This is Olivia Wilde - who plays 13 on House. When I was reading the lyrics to this week's challenge I wanted to do something different. At first I told my fiance to give me a picture of his ex, and he just laughed at me, like usual. Then I was searching something else and there was Olivia! I knew that is what I had to do. So we looked through a bunch of "Top 50 Sexiest Women" and out of all of them he still choose 13. She is gorgeous! I tease him about his TV girlfriends. On each of our favorite shows we have a "favorite". Mine are Shamar Moore from Criminal Minds and Mark Harmon from NCIS. I've always loved him. I really love how this turned out!

I would like to thank SIWAS for allowing me to be on their DT! I am so excited!
