Monday Monday

I can't believe it is Monday already, I really didn't want to go to work this morning.  I am still wishing I could get around having that daytime job.  Maybe one day soon I can do this full time!!
We had another birthday celebration this weekend. Mike's daughter turned 11 and  her brother turned 13! I always have plenty of girlie cards laying around but I am still short on male cards. And 13 is at that in between age where I can't make a cute kid card.  So Mike told me to use the pirate ship. I do love this stamp set and use it often!

Scrap it with a Song - Every Girl Like Me

Hi!! I have another My Digital Studio page to share with you for Scrap it With a Song's new challenge. This week it is Every Girl Like Me by Sugarland.  I have been wanting to scarp some of our 4th of July pictures and saw the work firecracker in the lyrics and thought I should run with it!

We have such  great time letting off fireworks this year.
The kids really loved it.

I used the sketch at Creative Scrappers

You have until July 31st to join us for our July challenges. We can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Finally...

Hi! Another busy week, I'm so glad it's almost Friday! And this Saturday my sisters are throwing me a bridal shower!!
I took some time out this evening to make a couple cards for some ladies I work with, they have had a rough couple weeks with lots of changes going on.

This was the first time I got to use my new stamp set Mixed Bunch and the blossom punch! I just love this flower!

Smashing

Hi! I took a little time out today to smash in my new smash book. I love notebooks of all kinds and these books are a lot of fun. And I got a lot of wedding stuff finished this weekend too. I can't wait until I have it all done.  Plus I went to Michael's today and only spent my money on wedding stuff. That was a big accomplishment for me, but it sucked not buying the other stuff I really wanted. lol

Scrap it with a Song - American Girl

Hi! Scrap it with a Song's new challenge today

I used  the lyrics "Take it easy, Baby" for my title.  I just added a few words to fit the picture. This is my son Larz, holding his baby cousin. He was so scared to hold her! The picture is priceless! I used the layout from  Frosted Designs and created my page in My Digital Studio.   I can't wait until I have more time to create pages and crafts. My wedding is a little over a month away and I feel I have so much to do!! I am in panic mode. lol Of course then I will have tons more pictures that I want to scrap!

You have until July 31 to join us for the challenge. We love to see your creations!

A long weekend....

I always wish that the weekends would slow down and this weekend certainly has. The electric went out Friday evening with a massive storm that left thousands on the east coast without power. Trees are down everywhere. Electric is still not on for me, but thankfully we have a generator to run the essentials. And the wonderful electric company is out in front of our house now. Says it should only be 4 more hours!!
I can't believe the size of the trees the storm brought down. Here are a couple pictures a co-worker shared that is right down the street from him in Beckley, WV.

I can't believe how it tore the ground up! Thankfully all were safe here. I haven't heard of any deaths or injuries.

I dd work on a few things this weekend until the heat was too much that I didn't really feel like moving. Crazy how much we need AC to function. It was a 100 degrees!! And felt much worse indoors than out.

These are going to be my ring bearer boxes. I have so many nephews I decided to have two ring bearers. After I put the antique varnish on these they looked terrible! So I put more turquoise paint on top and really like the finished look.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Shelley
