Twisted Card

Well the snow stopped and the rain started again. So glad we didn't loose power like a lot others. I hope it comes back quickly for them.
I had time yesterday to make a Twisted Card. It was a lot easier than I imagined. I watched a youtube video.  I learn much better by watching than reading instructions.

The pockets make great spots for a tea bag or gift card.

Hope you have a great day! Shelley

Santa Twizzlers & Some Snow!

Hi! I hope everyone is safe from the effects of Hurricane Sandy.  We got about 5 inches of snow, but so far have not lost power!  Here is our winter wonderland.

I participated in a Church Bazaar last weekend and these Santa Twizzlers were my best seller, so I made some more for all my adorable nieces and nephews.

Aren't they adorable!  Here is the youtube video! The only thing I did different was run the red oval for his hat through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan folder and I used the small flower from the Boho Blossom punch instead of a pom pom.

Have a great day and stay safe! Shelley

Delicate Doilies

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great week. It is hard to believe it is Wednesday already and only a week left in October! Christmas will be here soon!

I made these cards using the Delicate Doilies stamp set and the holiday ornament frames for the Big Shot.  The top cards are my favorite and want to make more of those.

I used the sketch from Sketchabilities.

Hot Cocoa Sliders

I love making these Hot Cocoa Sliders.
They are so easy and make such cute little gifts.

These have hot apple cider instead of cocoa.

Smash Book

I love scrapping in my Smash Book.
I did these two pages a couple weeks ago.

This is my son Larz, dressed up like a leprechaun.
He always takes the funniest pictures!

And this is my sweet great niece Amya, with her Grandma and Mommy & Daddy! I need to do some current pictures, they change so quick. She is 5 months old now!

Lovely as a Tree

It's Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I have been busy making items for a craft fair I will be participating in next month.  I am hoping to sell a lot of stuff!! Keep your fingers crossed!
I made a couple cards using "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set. This is such a versatile set, I love it! I used the Saturday sketch from Utah Diva's.

I used the baby wipe technique, you can watch a video on it here.  It is really easy and makes a beautiful card.

Scrap it with a Song - A Thousand Years

This weeks inspiration song at Scrap it with a Song is A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.  I have LOTS of wedding pictures to scrap and of course this song was perfect for it!

I used the sketch at Once Upon a Sketch.

I used the lyrics of the song on my background. Then I chose "every breath, every hour has come to this" for my photo of me and Mike exchanging rings.

You have until the end of October to join us in the challenge. Hope to see your creations at Scrap it with a Song.

Paper Flowers

Hi! I made lots of these "smashed" flowers this summer. I can't remember whose video I watched on it but here is one similar. The one I originally saw had you pull the layers of paper apart, to get the fuzzy look to your paper. I was planning on using all these for the wedding but changed my mind at the last minute. lol

They make a very colorful arrangement!

Halloween is coming!!

I have had some extra time this week to finish up some projects I have been wanting to do.  I have been collecting wine and liquor bottles and wanted to use them for some fun Halloween decorations.

This was really simple. I found these great labels on Etsy. They were all so cute.  All I had to add was some Stampin Up designer series paper.

Have a great day  ~ Shelley
