Are you ready for the holidays??

Yeah, we do have a little bit more time.
But with the way this summer is flying by the holidays will be here before you know it.

So to get us all started
is having a
Getting Ready for the Holidays Blog Hop!

We all wanted to share creations for the holidays. You will be sure to find some fabulous creations along the way and some FREEBIES! If you came here from Abby's Creative Corner, you are in the right place. If you want to start at the beginning go Michelle's blog.

Today I have two projects to share with you.
First I made a Thanksgiving card. I know I sometimes get so wrapped up in Christmas, Thanksgiving is just an afterthought.
This year I want to slow down and enjoy each holiday.
I colored Lorelei the Autumn Fairy  with pencils and markers. And used my new set "Day of Gratitude" from Stampin Up. I love the sentiment " Gratitude can transform common days into Thanksgivings". Sometimes we are always waiting for the "special" days to happen. Each day is a gift!

Of course I had to do something for Christmas...
This little beauty is Chrissy the Christmas Spirit Fairy. Boy, that's a mouth full. lol Isn't she darling. I colored her with a variety of mediums. Copics (from my limited collection), Stampin Up markers & Prisma pencils. I cut the tag on my Cricut and used SU stamps to decorate it and for the sentiment.

Your next hop is over to Mama Bear Stonich's Crafty Ideas.

Happy Holidays!! ~ Shelley

Give Thanks

Maybe it looks like I am jumping a head a little to fast, but I'm trying to get a few more things done for the Blackberry Festival held here in my town. I am going to have a Stampin Up table there and I need a few more items to display and to sell.
The bad thing about creating things is I want to KEEP everything!   I had this old frame I thought I would decorate.  I LOVE the "Day of Gratitude" stamp set from Stampin Up. Autumn is my favorite time of year.
Have a great day ~ Shelley

Snow in the Forecast

Hi! With the miserable heat wave happening here on the East Coast of the USA, I thought I would share some Christmas cards.
I love this new Snow Much Fun set from Stampin Up! Can't get enough of these cute little snowmen!

These look much better in person, the stamped image didn't come out very clear, especially on the Certainly Celery card stock.
I stamped the different images and used the ornament punch, then embossed them on the Big Shot.

Inspired by a Song Challenge MPS Challenge

Hi all!!! It's time for a fun challenge at Michelle Perkett Studios.
This week we are Inspired by a Song!!

My favorite song right now is
I love the the Zac Brown Band and
they are even better with Jimmy Buffet!!

My creation this week isn't a card but a page in my journal. When I decided what song I wanted to use, I knew I wanted it to be a page in my journal. This is where I would love to be right now, knee deep in the water preferably at the beach. But such is life.... lol
I used Elisa the Queen of the Sea Mermaid you can find her here.

This week's challenge at
is Do You Remember The Time by Michael Jackson.

For my page I made another 6x6 for my scrapbook. The paper & stamp is from Stampin Up.
This is our first picture together taken on Mike's Mac.
It's fun to look back  at pictures even though we've only been together 2 1/2 yrs. He looks so different in all his pictures.

The papers are all SU! I've used two of the new In-color - Pool Party & Island Indigo. I really love these colors.  I was excited o find a button from my stash that matched!

My page is a 6x6 and I used part of the lyrics "ask her if she'll marry me". This is me and my fiance Mike. Our wedding date is next July!! I started a 6x6 scrapbook when we first got together and add pages ever so often. I hadn't get added that we were getting married!
