Amya Harper

Happy Memorial Day! And thanks to all the men and women who have served our great country! I had a great weekend visiting my family and shopping for dresses with my sisters and Mom. But the best part of the weekend was meeting my great niece, Amya. She is just so beautiful and sweet.  Of course I couldn't wait to do some pages.

I took this picture from my nephew Tyler's Facebook page. I just thought this was the sweetest picture of him holding his new baby girl. I just brings tears to my eyes. I can't believe our little Ty-bug is all grown up and a Daddy! I used the sketch at Let's Capture these Sketch.

Scrap it with a Song - For Good

Hi! We are celebrating Memorial Day all month long at Scrap it with a Song. This week we are getting our inspiration from the song For Good from the Wicked musical.  The song has wonderful lyrics and great meaning.

With such touching lyrics, I decided to do a page of me and my only child, Larz. We try to teach our children all the things they need to know, but they end up teaching us so much more! I used the sketch at Sketchabilities.

Hope you join us at Scrap it with a Song, you have until the end of the month to enter for May's challenges.

Have a great day  ~ Shelley

Mojo Monday

Hi! I finally got to make a card today!
I really need to be finishing up some more wedding favors though.

I used Elements of Style stamp set and one of my favorite colors, Island Indigo. I may have to buy it, I borrowed this one from my mom.  I used the sketch at Mojo Monday.

Wedding Preparations

Hi! I am trying to get some wedding things done. I can't believe August seems so close! I am going to start hyperventilating! lol I had good intentions today but Mike wanted to start with the remodel of our bathroom. We got some of the hard part done, like carrying the terribly heavy old cabinet and countertop down to the garbage and carrying the new stuff up from the garage.  We still need to buy some more supplies like bead board and trim. Hopefully one day it will be finished. lol

But I did get this flower girl crown done
the other day for my great niece, Madison.
I can't wait to see her wearing it!

I used the Daisies #2 and Beautiful Wings embosslit for the Big Shot, the leaves are from the Bird punch and I have Boho flowers punch. I may even make some for my bride's maids.

I saw a version of these favors in a magazine last year and knew that is what I was going to make for my wedding.

I really wanted to get more of these done, but the the bathroom "remodel" got in the way! lol But I am so excited to get started on the bathroom, I can't wait to be rid of that ugly pink paint!

Amya Harper Riffle is here!!

Hi! Our family received another addition today! My great niece Amya Harper Riffle was born to my nephew Tyler and his wife Ali. I was so sad that I couldn't be there to meet her. She is such a beautiful baby!

Just look at that beautiful baby. I can't wait to kiss her little checks!
I started making a scrapbook to give her parents as a gift. I really thought I had at least another week to work on this.

I can't wait to work on some more pages!

Congratulations Tybug and Ali!

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! Mine was wonderful!! My son & his girlfriend came down for a surprise visit Saturday evening and stayed until Sunday afternoon. I was so surprised and happy. I had been missing them so much!!
After they left I had time to finish this card I wanted to have for mother's day but will save it for a birthday. Cindy Winkleman had a great tutorial posted for this cute flower pot.

I used some pre-made Prima flowers I have had in drawer for a while, the paper and ribbon are Stampin Up! The inside card with the flowers on it pulls up to show the greeting.

Scrap It with a Song - Time of Your Life by Greenday

Hi! Scrap it with a Song has an great song for this week's challenge. We have Time of Your Life/Good Riddance by Greenday. This song has such awesome lyrics.

I couldn't choose just part of the song for my
page so I used the entire song!

I used My Digital Studio to create my page. This is my son, Larz and his girlfriend Brittney.  I just loved this picture Mike took of them, even though it makes me kind of sad at the same time. It just symbolizes them venturing off to their own life. I am so proud of them both!

You have until the end of the month to
join us at Scrap it with a Song!

Mojo Monday

I know it's Tuesday, but this is the card I made using the Mojo Monday sketch.

I love the Everyday Enchantment paper! It is so pretty, so glad I still have an unopened pack!! I think I may be a paper hoarder.

Graduation Time!

Wow, it has only been a little over a week since I did a post but it seems like so much longer! We have been busy make some much needed improvements on the house. I finally talked Mike into painting the living room thinking it was going to be the cheapest of the jobs. We spent a lot more money that I anticipated. It is still a work in progress. Mike's mom is painting a "family tree" on our wall. I will post pictures when it is complete.

I made this card for my son's girlfriend, Brittney who is graduating from college this week. She has earned her degree as vet tech and wants to continue her education to become a veterinarian. She loves animals so much! She has talked us into adopting two cats already!

I used the new Bright Blossoms stamp & paper.
The new catalog will be coming in June!!

Have a great day ~ Shelley
