Hi! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We had a great time with two of my son's friends who came down for a visit! Plus I got the house decorated for Christmas!! I love love looking at my Christmas tree. I didn't get much crafting done so today I decided to play along with Mojo Monday.
This is a 8x10 canvas covered with DSP. The original project had "NO PEEKING" to use while you are wrapping presents. Since I don't have to hide to wrap presents I used this stamp on mine instead.
I was planning on making a Autumn card for today's post but I just didn't get around to it. This weekend I went to visit my family, we had a great time. I was even able to attend my Stampin Up upline meeting!! She had such great projects for us to make! I worked on Christmas cards last week, so I will be sharing one of those with you today!
I used the new Coredination paper in Cherry Cobbler, when embossed it gives you such a pretty design. I love it. I also used the Snowflake die for the Big Shot. I just love snowflakes!
I can't believe how fast this year is going! Thanksgiving is only a week away. I can't wait to eat some delicious turkey!
I had to use my French Foliage stamp set again, - this time I embossed one of the leaves with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder and stamped the word stamp in Early Espresso.
I can't believe it is Monday, where did the weekend go. We had such beautiful weather, it was near 70 degrees. I'm afraid that will probably be the last. Oh well, Christmas is right around the corner.
I really loved how this card turned out, I made them for a trade for an upcoming upline meeting. I used the stamp sets Papaya Collage and Tiny Tags.
I was really excited to create my page for this week. I used part of the lyrics "I can stand beside ideals I think are right, and I can stand beside the idea to stand and fight".
This election was my son's (Larz) first time to vote. I have tried to tell him over the years how important it is to take advantage of our right to vote. I am proud that he voiced his opinion. He had to do an absentee ballot since he just recently moved to another county, so I made him pose with his ballot. The soldier on my page is my wonderful husband Mike, when he served our country in Iraq. I will be eternally grateful to him and all our soldiers that have fought over the years.
I hope you join us this month at Scrap it with a Song. You have until November 30th to post your creation.
I do believe that the Ornament Keepsake bundle is my favorite purchase from the holiday catalog. It makes such beautiful ornaments and cards! I saw some Christmas cards done in neutral colors with the ornament stamps and wanted to give it a try.
My next favorite item is the Coredination card stock. I used the Early Espresso and ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for my background paper.
