Fleur de Lis

Finally, I am feeling much better! I was even able to sleep through the night last night. It is amazing just how much being sick takes out of you, my energy level is still so low.

I have a simple home decor project to share today. I found these chipboard Fleur de lis' at a local craft store and wanted to use them in my kitchen.

I traced the shape onto some retired designer series paper.  Applied modge podge and glued the paper to the fleur de lis.  Once it dried I sanded the edges where the paper hung over a little; sponged Early Espresso ink on the edges and some to the front of the paper to give it that antiqued look.

Wedding Scrapbook

Unfortunately I have been fighting the flu for several days now.  I am starting to feel much better but still have no energy to do anything.  No crafting, I don't even feel like reading! I have watched so much TV the last few days I can't watch much more!

Last month I finally finished my wedding scrapbook!
I used some retired designer paper from Stampin Up.  I don't remember the name, but it was one of my favorites so when it was on the clearance rack I bought another pack.
Here are a couple of the final pages.

This is my son Larz walking me down the aisle...

And me and my husband dancing...

Have a great day! Hope to be feeling better to do something besides watching TV tomorrow!!

Simply Sketched Sympathy Card

Hi! I am sitting here enjoying the sun shine through my windows! The weather has been beautiful the last few days it reassures me that Spring is definitely on the way.  Soon I will see all the pretty daffodils growing on the hillside.

Unfortunately I had to make a sympathy card this month for a friend.  I really need to keep a few of these on hand.

Cardstock - Coastal Cabana, Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla. Stamp set - Simply Sketched.  Supplies - Fancy Fan embossing folder, Chantilly crochet trim.

Have a beautiful day ~ Shelley

This is one I made for my father-in-law's 63rd birthday.  My husband bought him a cookie cake and insisted on putting 63 candles on it. There was wax all over it!

Accessories: Chalk Talk framelits, On Film framelites, Banner punch, Island Indigo baker's twine

Valentines Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!
I love to make Valentine cards! Valentine's Day was always so exciting when you were in elementary school.  I loved to decorate the box where classmates would put their Valentine cards. All those hearts, glitter and paper!!

I used the stamp set Dinoroar for some little boy Valentines

This one is not very "Valentiney" I was trying to make a more masculine for my hubby. I used the stamp set Chalk Talk and coordinating thinlits. I really liked how it turned out, but I guess I could have added a heart to it.

You can order Stampin Up products here.

Have a  great day and tell someone
how much you love them today!

Whale you be mine?

I have a couple of Valentine Cards to share today.
Only two more days to get your sweetheart a Valentine!

First one up - I used the stamp set Oh, Whale from last year's Occasion mini.  I just love the whale, it's so cute.

This card I used Gorgeous Grunge and That's the Ticket.  The Guitar Player  is from a couple years ago.  I reminds me of the hair bands I listened to as a teen, and still do!

Have a great day! Shelley

Hearts a Flutter

Love is in the air!
Too bad the air isn't a little bit warmer this week  - lol

I saw a similar card on the internet and changed it up a bit.  I just can't remember where I saw it, I think pinterest.  The card is made using the Hearts a Flutter and Around Array stamp sets.  Colors I used are Coastal Cabana and Stawberry Slush.

Have a great day! And stay warm! Shelley

File Folder Birthday Cards

Hi! I had several birthday cards for family the past few weeks.  We have a large family so there are usually several each month. I always make a list at the beginning of each month, so if the birthday is early in the month they are always late. Like these two - the top one was for my step-son Mikey, whose birthday is on Ground Hog's Day (February 2nd) and the bottom one was for my step grandson's birthday (will be my step grandson - just as soon as my son married his girlfriend - lol)

I love using the envelope punch board to make these cute file folder cards.  For the top card I used the new Banner Blast stamp set and punch that you can get free with each $50 purchase in the Sale A Bration catalog. (Shop here.) Bottom card I used the retired stamp set Dinaroar, I keep it on hand since I have so many young nephews.  It works great for all kinds of cards.

Have a great day ~ Shelley

All You Need Is Love

I have another Valentine project to share today.  I still had this sheet of paper from a retired pack of Valentine paper.  I thought I would use it for some pics  of my grand niece, Amya from last summer.  (I think I am caught up on all of last year's pics that I wanted to scrap! Yay)  Works perfect for celebrating 50 Years of the Beatles too!

I used my favorite set of stamps for this month - Hearts a Flutter and the coordinating framelites to cute out the hearts. Love these colors together too, I have used it them a lot recently.

Have a great day~ Shelley
