Smashing Weekend!!

Good morning! Hope everyone's week has went good so far.

Last weekend I had time to finish my wedding smashbook!! I spent all day Saturday working on it.

Here are a few of my favorite pages....

This is my remembrance page for my Dad.  I used the new Swallowtail stamp from Stampin Up on Elegant Eggplant and embossed with white embossing powder.  He loved the color purple. I have some journaling about him in the envelope on the right.

I had lots of new Stampin Up! to use!! I used the artisan embellishment kit and More Amore designer series paper.  Some of the pages in the smashbook were so pretty I didn't want to cover it up!

 I used some random family pictures on this page. This is me and my son's grandma & my good friend - Dottie and me and my Uncle Hurley.

Feeling Sentimental

Hi! It is 40 degrees today!! That is so much better than 10, brrr. It has definitely been cold, but only a little bit of snow. I was really hoping to see several inches, but we just got enough on Friday to make the roads icy.   I did get to leave work a couple hours early though!

This card is for my father-in-law, whose birthday is tomorrow.  He and his wife will be celebrating in sunny Florida, away from the cold. 

This one was for my nephew Anthony, who turned 12 on January 19th.  I just love this set, it is great for any age!

Wedding Album

Well, I thought I would be finished with my wedding album by now and already had it printed.  So much for thinking, but it is coming together nicely.  There are just so many pictures to choose from, if I didn't limit it may scrapbook would be 200 pages long!!

I love how everything came together so nicely

 after so much planning!

I hung a picture of my Dad off of my bouquet,

 since he was watching done on us from Heaven. 

 The cupcakes were so delicious, wish I had one right now!

The kids favorite part was the candy table,

 it was so much fun putting it together!

Love it!

I have had this LOVE chipboard book for a couple of years now.  It is sad that I buy things then let them lay around before I decide to do something with it. When I had the new More Amore paper out this weekend I knew I wanted it use it to cover my chipboard letters.

I also used the Artisan Embellishment kit to decorate my album.  Now I have a little mini album ready for some fun pictures for Valentine's Day.

More Amore

Pink is not usually my favorite color, but I LOVE the new More Amore designer series paper.  

The honeycomb embossing folder is great too.  I spent the weekend playing with my new Stampin Up products! It was a great weekend!

This is my sweet great niece Amya.  As pretty as she is, she is the spitting image of her Daddy.  Funny how babies can give the same looks as their parents. She is such a doll baby.  I used the lyrics "she made your heart melt" but changed it to "she makes your heart melt".

I used the sketch at Sketchabilities for my layout.

Chalkboards

Hi all! Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for Monday morning!! I definitely am not, lots of computer problems at work right now and it doesn't look like it is going to get much easier very soon. :( Well that is enough of me feeling sorry for myself, on to some fun cards....

I have seen a lot of chalkboard cards lately and really love the look. So I have been playing with it for a couple of hours now. I have two finished and ideas for two more as soon as my new stash gets here Tuesday!


This one I pretty much duplicated from one I saw on Pinterest except they had a verse on the bottom.

This one I used several different stamps sets on, it could possibly be the valentine for my husband.

Happy New Year!!

Hope everyone had a great New Year! Ours was pretty quiet, we just hung out at home watching movies. Just being together, it was a perfect evening! 2012 was a great year for me because I married my best friend in August. Since I had the day off from work I thought I would work on my wedding smash book. I haven't had time to work on it with all the holiday preparations. I am so excited it is almost finished!

  

The new stamp pads from Stampin Up are great. They give such a clear image, plus they don't dry as fast so you can emboss with any color! I stamped the rose from the Papaya Collage set with Raspberry Ripple and embossed with clear powder, the one on the left is Ripple Raspberry embossed with silver. I really love the look.

When we were planning the wedding I told Mike I wanted to get married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator. But I really wanted to have a beautiful outside wedding, and we did. So I told him on our 5th Anniversary we were going to renew our vows in Vegas. lol
